Popular Nigerian singer, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuka professionally known as Iyanya has managed to get many people talking following his recent comment about Wizkid and Tems.
Iyanya, the “One Side” crooner disclosed that Wizkid makes it possible for Tems to win Grammy Award.
This reaction from Iyanya comes following a question making the rounds on social media asking if Wizkid is part of Tems success stroy.
Recall Intel Region reported that Tems bagged her first Grammy award in the 2023 ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ category. She further makes history as she becomes the first Nigerian female artiste to win the prestigious award.
Recall that Tems, the “Try Me” crooner becomes widely accepted in the Nigeria music industry after she featured on Wizkid hit song “Essence”.
However, a blog identified as Yabaleft via its official Twitter handle asked, “Is it safe to say Wizkid is part of Tems’ success story?”
The post generated mixed reactions, while some said Wizkid is not part of Tems success story as they claimed that Tems gives Wizkid is last hit song “Essence” other said, Tems is now bigger than Wizkid, some also shared their contrary opinions.
Responding to the viral question by Yabaleft, singer Iyanya confirms that Wizkid is definitely part of Tems success story as he influences Tems winning Grammy award.
Iyanya wrote, “Definitely”.
