Wizkid and Tems wins NAACP Award for the second time


Nigerian singers, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, and Ayodeji Balogun, aka Wizkid, were part of the winners in the 2023 National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People Awards (NAACP).

The winners were announced on Monday night.

Tems’ No Woman No Cry cover for Black Panther movie won the Outstanding International Song category.

Wizkid’s feature on Chris Brown’s Call Me Everyday won the Outstanding Collaboration (Contemporary) category.

Other winners include Beyonce, who won in three categories including Outstanding Female Artist, Outstanding Soul/R&B song for Cuff It and Outstanding Album for Renaissance.

The NAACP award celebrates black entertainers.
