"You all aren't even Rappers", Singer Wizkid goes harder on Nigeria Rappers

Award-Winning Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun professionally known as Wizkid is taking no chill at the moment as he goes harder on Nigerian rappers few days after he addresses the rap music genre as being dead and boring.

darkwurld reported that Wizkid who recently released his 5th studio album, More Love Less Ego during an interview with 10 magazine berated Nigerian rappers that include MI Abaga, Ice Prince, Olamide, Vector, Falz, Reminisce among others.

The “Essence” crooner noted that most of these rappers rap on the same beats, dished out the same style among others as there is no development. He added that Afrobeats is the real thing now.

Wizkid claims about the rap music genre being dead and boring generated several reactions among rappers, while some throws shade at the Grammy award winner, others say that they understand rap is not the sought after music genre but it’s not dead.

Also, famous rapper, MI Abaga in a tweet on Friday, December 2nd while reacting to Wizkid controversial statement hails Nigerian rappers. He said his colleagues are winning adding that rap is on the rise.

However, responding to the reactions that have started trailing his statement on rap being dead, Wizkid via his official Snapchat account Wizkid once again blasts Nigerian rappers stating that they are not even rappers as far as he is concerned, then further referred to them as broke boys.

Throwing sarcastic shade, Wizkid added that they keep sending him their rap videos and noted that he might consider helping their lives.

He further concluded that they are only three rappers in Africa and it include, Nasty C from South Africa as well as Sarkodie and Black Sherif from Ghana.

He wrote; “Broke boys!

Can’t believe y’all broke boys really thought Big Wiz will talk abt y’all wow!

da__mi123: Yeeeeeee Wahala wahala wahala .

hautest_topics: This is rude and unacceptable, not okay. Sometimes we must talk with wisdom, afrobeats is awesome but foreign to the international market and that is one of the reasons you and the others have had an opportunity to carve a niche for yourselves, it’s not because you’re special, that’s a dumb thing to say, rap on the other hand belongs to the international audience and the likes of MI and Vector might not have that opportunity, so the fact that you were able to gain international acclaim and exposure doesn’t mean you’re better it just means you were in the right position to do so, please keep your comments constructive, I can’t overemphasize this, don’t just talk because you can.

iampurplepee_: Just way too proud. quickly forgot he was once a broke boy in ojuelegba.
