A video that reveals the moment popular Nigerian singer Oladapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj goes extra mile to give thanks to God at an event after being release by ICPC has surfaced online and by extension sparked reactions among netizens.
Recall yesterday, December 9th, Intel Region reported that D’banj has been released by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) after almost 72 hours in custody.
The “Emergency” hitmaker was arrested and detained on Tuesday after ICPC operatives closed in on him, forcing him to surrender himself at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria’s. He was accused of being involved in N900M N-Power fraud.
However, D’banj clairs the air after being released by the ICPC as he disclosed that he has no business with fraud. He noted that he was invited by ICPC following the ongoing investigation by the commission and he has assisted them with all he knows.
Taking to his Instagram page D’banj wrote; “Global thank you to the world. I was invited on an ongoing investigation in ICPC. I have assisted the commission with all I know and I am confident in their capacity to unravel the truth. I have no business with fraud, all I do is chop life. I was released on self-recognition because nothing was seen or found on me. God bless you all my people.”
Meanwhile, D’banj while performing at the Federal Palace Hotel at Victoria Island Lagos while celebrating his release gives thank to God by crawling on the stage and performed his hit song, Mobolowowon. The track was a song off D’banj debut album “No Long Thing” released in 2005.
